No lead has been detected in the drinking water at any of the five schools that make up Elmwood Park Community Unit School District 401.

That’s according to a series of tests conducted in April 2016 by TestAmerica Laboratories, Inc., a leading environmental testing firm with facilities in more than 90 locations nationwide.

The firm’s TestAmerica Chicago lab, located in University Park, collected two samples from each of District 401’s schools on April 10, 2016.

The results were analyzed April 21, 2016, using the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s protocol for testing lead in drinking water.

Each of the samples yielded no detection of lead, according to the firm’s analytical report, dated April 22, 2016. To see a copy of the report, click here or click the report cover located in the upper left corner of this page.
