Visual Arts

Elm Middle School students have many opportunities to explore their interest in the visual arts.

In Class

Students may take Ms. Karen Korteling’s one-semester elective class, which focuses on four areas of study: art criticism, art history, art production and art aesthetics.

Out of Class

They may pursue their passion for the visual arts outside of class by participating in Art Club, which meets once a week after school and is sponsored by Ms. Korteling.

Displaying Their Work

Students may also enter their artwork in local contests or display them in exhibitions and galleries, including Elm’s own online art gallery, located on this website.
