EPHS Daily Bulletin

Elmwood Park High School's Daily Bulletin is read over the intercom each school day during lunch. An edited version of the most recent bulletin will be posted on this page the same day the original script is read. In addition, the bulletin is available on PowerSchool daily.

NOTE: The 2017-18 school year ends May 25 for students and teachers. The 2018-19 school year begins for students on Aug. 15. The EPHS Daily Bulletin will return then. Have a great summer!

► Basketball Summer Camp — Boys

Please register online or in the Athletic Office for our summer camp, which begins on Monday, June 4, at 1 p.m. for all high school boys interested in playing basketball. See Coach Sylvester in Room 201 with any questions!

► Football Summer Camp

Summer camp registration for football is open. In order to attend camp you must be registered before the second week of camp or you will be sent home. Any questions, please see Coach Mack.

► Track & Field — Boys Class 2A State Qualifiers

On Friday, May 18, the boys track and field team finished sixth at the Glenbard South IHSA Class 2A sectional meet.

At sectionals, athletes qualify for the IHSA state meet individually by placing first or second in their respective events. The following Tiger athletes qualified for state by virtue of their sectional performances:

  • The 4x800-meter relay team of Mike Jones-Plasencia, Tyler Ocampo, Khris Vicencio and Carlos Sanchez finished with a personal-best time of 8:35.71 en route to earning second place.
  • Captain Dom Pudlo placed second in the 110-meter high hurdles with a personal-best time of 16.10.
  • Luis Gomez ran a personal-best time in the 3,200-meter run of 10:45.15 and took second. 
  • Julian Rivera and James Coleman finished first and second respectively in the pole vault with personal bests. Julian is the fifth sectional champion for EP in the pole vault in the last 10 years.

The above-mentioned Tigers have traveled to Eastern Illinois University to participate in the Class 2A state meet. Good luck, Tigers!

► Volleyball — Boys & Girls

Attention boys and girls volleyball players: If you missed yesterday's meeting, come to Coach Prechel's classroom, Room 227, immediately after finals for information about summer camp and summer workouts. See you there!
