Elmwood Park High School's Daily Bulletin is read over the intercom each school day during lunch. An edited version of the most recent bulletin will be posted on this page the same day the original script is read. In addition, the bulletin is available on PowerSchool daily.

► Basketball — Boys


Attention all boys interested in basketball next year: We will have an open gym / offseason conditioning session Wednesday, April 25, from 3:15 to 5 p.m. See Coach Sylvester in Room 201 with any questions!


► Bone Marrow Donor Registration Event


Do you want to be an Everyday Hero? If you are 18, you have an opportunity to potentially save a life by registering to be a bone marrow donor. The process is simple and painless, but it can be the difference between life and death. You can register on Monday, April 30, at the Civic Center from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Please register and become an Everyday Hero!


► EPHS Athletic Booster Club — Cubs Tickets


The EPHS Athletic Booster Club will be selling Cubs tickets for the May 7 game vs. the Florida Marlins at parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, April 26, from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 each. Don't forget to buy yours before they're all gone!


► Football Meeting


On Thursday, April 26, anyone interested in playing football next year should come to an informational meeting right after school. The meeting will last about 15 minutes. We'll hand out the playbook for the summer as well as the summer calendar, and we'll discuss how equipment will be distributed. If you are unable to attend, see Coach Mack for the information you will miss.


► Jody Littlehale Binder Scholarship


Applications for the Jody Littlehale Binder Scholarship are available in the Athletic Office. Students must be a multi-sport athlete (at least two sports) and have a 3.0 cumulative GPA or above. Applications are due back by Tuesday, May 8.


► Jostens


Attention, Class of 2018! Your Jostens graduation product order will be presented to you during lunch outside the cafeteria on Wednesday, April 25.  Please bring your payment if you have a balance due.


► LGBTQ Awareness & National Day of Silence


Here are your LGBTQ awareness facts for the day:

  • 59 percent of Americans support the equal right to marry for same-sex couples, according to a 2014 Washington Post-ABC News poll.
  • 30 percent of gay youth attempt suicide near the age of 15.

If you want to participate in the National Day of Silence to end discrimination of LGBTQ students, please come to Room 148 after school to learn more. All students are welcome!


► Perfect Attendance


Attention, seniors: If you believe you've had perfect attendance all four years of high school, please see Mrs. Schulze in the main office. Thanks.


► Prom Reminders


Juniors and seniors: Please check your email. Vote for prom king, queen, prince and princess. Prom is Friday, April 27. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Registration for summer driver's ed is now being accepted in the Athletic Office. Please stop by the Athletic Office for a registration form or more information.
