A Season to Remember

Under second-year varsity head coach Mr. Dylan Mack, the Tigers engineered an impressive turnaround from their 2016 record of 3-6.

EPHS's 2017 appearance in the IHSA playoffs marks only the second time since 1992 the school's football program has qualified for the postseason. The Tigers' most recent appearance before this year came in 2012 (Class 5A), which in turn was preceded by a playoff berth in 1991 (Class 3A).

This season was highlighted by the following regular-season wins:

► 22-6 vs. St. Joseph on Aug. 25

► 20-18 vs. Marengo on Sept. 1

► 32-9 vs. Ridgewood on Sept. 22 (EPHS Homecoming)

► 42-8 at Guerin

► 38-0 vs. Chicago Christian (EPHS Senior Night)

► 40-14 at Walther Christian

Congratulations to Coach Mack, his staff and all the Tiger players! Good luck to all on Saturday. Go, Tigers!
