With just a few days left before winter break, the Elmwood Park High School Band Program performed its 2017 Winter Concert on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
The show featured performances by the school's Jazz Band and Concert Band under the direction of Mr. Kyle Rhoades.
Students introduced each song, occasionally reading from notes on their smartphones.
A Variety of Holiday Numbers
The Jazz Band opened with "Jingle Bells," followed by "Dos Gatos Bailando," "Swing March" from "The Nutcracker," "The Rainbow Connection, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "Jericho."
The Concert Band then took the stage with "Suite" from "The Nutcracker" ("March," "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy," "Arabian Dance" and "Russian Dance"), followed by "Greensleeves," "Sleigh Ride" and "King Cotton."
Thanks to everybody who filled the EPHS auditorium in support of our amazing student musicians!
