The ECC recently celebrated the birthday of one of America's most beloved children's writers: Dr. Seuss! Our students took part in activities related to such classics as "Cat in the Hat" and "Green Eggs and Ham." And they had plenty of oobleck to play with, too!
EPHS and Elm students participated in a nationwide walkout on March 14 to honor the victims of the recent Florida school shootings. Students at District 401's other schools participated in learning activities related to the walkout. Check inside for photos.

More than 100 parents and students turned out for District 401's STEMscopes Parent & Community Night, held Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Elm Middle School. The event gave attendees a chance to learn more about the District's science curriculum for grades K-8.
Andrew Ticao, a John Mills 6th grader, won the District 401 Spelling Bee for the third straight year as students from Mills and Elmwood Elementary Schools demonstrated their spelling skills yet again. Anastasia Prodanchuk, an Elmwood 6th grader, finished as runner-up.
