Canned Food Drive

This year Elmwood Park High School collected over 2,000 non-perishable items for the Leyden Food Pantry.  The first period classes competed to bring in the most items, with  Ms. Bear’s first period class coming in first with a total of 308 items.  Mrs. Anichini’s class collected 326 items but lost to Ms. Bear because of the student ratio in their classes.  Mrs. Franklin and Mrs. Gamez gave extra credit to all of their gym classes and collected well over 100 extra items.   Food items will be distributed to needy families in the Leyden Township area. 

A box has remained in the high school office to collect food items and toys if you'd like to contribute before Christmas.
