Summer School
Introduction
All students K-12 residing in Elmwood Park CUSD #401 may enroll in our
Summer Academy program. Summer Academy is an extension of the district’s
regular academic program.

| Elementary & Middle School Levels K-8 Summer Academy is designed to provide students with opportunities to explore their learning through reading, math, and enrichment programs. Some students have been given recommendations by their grade levels teachers as to what classes would benefit them. |
High School Levels 9-12 Summer Academy is designed to provide students with opportunities to gain academic credit or to explore enrichment/non-credit interests. It is an excellent opportunity for incoming freshmen to become more familiar with high school expectations. Summer Academy courses have the same weight as during the school year. One day in Summer Academy equals one week of a regular school semester.Instructional materials, tests, and grading standards are similar to those used during the school year and will be explained on the first day of the course. |
