Title One Parental Right to Know
At the start of each school year, District 401 shall notify the parents of each student attending any Title I school that they may request, and the school will provide in a timely manner, information regarding the professional qualifications of the student's classroom teachers.
Information That May Be Requested
This includes at a minimum the following information:
- Whether the student’s teacher has met State qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction
- Whether the student's teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which State qualification or licensing criteria have been waived
- Whether the student's teacher is teaching in the field in which the teacher is certified
- Whether the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications
