Welcome to Elmwood Park Community Unit School District 401! Whether you are a current family, a prospective resident, or a community member, thank you for visiting our website. As Superintendent, I am incredibly proud to lead this exceptional district.

Serving the vibrant Chicagoland community of Elmwood Park, Illinois, District 401 provides a comprehensive education for students ages 3 to 22. Enrolled students attend one of our four neighborhood schools: John Mills Elementary School, Elmwood Elementary School, Elm Middle School, or Elmwood Park High School. Our unique unit district structure allows us to support children throughout their entire educational career, providing a cohesive, aligned journey that builds year after year to set every student up for success.

We are deeply committed to preparing our students for the future. From robust academic programs to diverse extracurricular offerings—including competitive athletics and active clubs—we take great pride in fostering our students' unique passions. Furthermore, we believe that great learning requires great spaces. Since 2020, all four of our school buildings have undergone significant renovations, and we continue to modernize our facilities to ensure a safe, inspiring, and cutting-edge environment for our students and staff.
