Board Members
District 401 is governed by a seven-member elected Board of Education. The Board's current members, as well as District 401's superintendent, are listed below.
FRANK J. PARISI
President
Mr. Parisi has served on the District 401 Board of Education since 2007, when he was appointed as an Interim Board Member. He was elected to his first four-year term of office in April 2009.
He won re-election in April 2013, April 2017 and April 2021.
MICHAEL V. SCHEIDT
Vice President
Mr. Scheidt began his current service on the District 401 Board of Education in 2018 as an Interim Board Member. He won a four-year term in April 2019.
He previously served on the Board from 2010 to 2015. Mr. Scheidt started as an Interim Board Member and was elected to a four-year term in April 2011.
SUSAN S. CAPRARO
Secretary
Mrs. Capraro has served on the District 401 Board of Education since April 2001, when she was elected to her first four-year term of office.
She won re-election in April 2005, April 2009, April 2013, April 2017 and April 2021.
MARY BRUSCATO
Board Member
Mrs. Bruscato has served on the District 401 Board of Education since April 2007, when she was elected to her first four-year term of office.
She won re-election in April 2011, April 2015 and April 2019.
TIMOTHY P. LOUGHNANE
Board Member
Mr. Loughnane has served on the District 401 Board of Education since April 2019, when he was elected to a four-year term of office.
JONATHAN M. RIVERA
Board Member
Mr. Rivera has served on the District 401 Board of Education since April 2017, when he was elected to his first four-year term of office.
He won re-election in April 2021.
PETER A. VOLPE
Board Member
Mr. Volpe has served on the District 401 Board of Education since April 2011, when he was elected to his first four-year term of office.
He won re-election in April 2015 and April 2019.
DR. LEAH C. GAUTHIER
Superintendent of Schools
Dr. Gauthier has served as District 401 Superintendent of Schools since August 2020.
She has worked in District 401 since July 2017, when she became head of the Curriculum and Instruction Department.
