Board Members


District 401 is governed by a seven-member elected Board of Education. The Board's current members, as well as District 401's superintendent, are listed below.


Frank Parisi

Mr. Parisi has served on the District 401 Board of Education since 2007, when he was appointed as an Interim Board Member. He was elected to his first four-year term of office in April 2009.

He won re-election in April 2013, April 2017 and April 2021.


Peter Volpe

Mr. Volpe has served on the District 401 Board of Education since April 2011, when he was elected to his first four-year term of office.

He won re-election in April 2015 and April 2019.


Sue Capraro

Mrs. Capraro has served on the District 401 Board of Education since April 2001, when she was elected to her first four-year term of office.

She won re-election in April 2005, April 2009, April 2013, April 2017 and April 2021.


Mary Bruscato

She won re-election in April 2011, April 2015 and April 2019.

Mrs. Ranallo has served on the District 401 Board of Education since December 2022, when she was appointed as an Interim Board Member.


Jonathan Rivera

Mr. Rivera has served on the District 401 Board of Education since April 2017, when he was elected to his first four-year term of office.

He won re-election in April 2021.


Leah Gauthier

Dr. Gauthier has served as District 401 Superintendent of Schools since August 2020.

She has worked in District 401 since July 2017, when she became head of the Curriculum and Instruction Department.
