Student Teacher & Observer Requests
At the beginning of each school year, District 401 building administrators will ask their teachers to complete a Student Teacher Google Form or a Teacher Observation Google Form if they are interested in having a student teacher or classroom observer at any time during the year.
Once teachers have completed their forms, databases will be created listing the teachers willing to have a student teacher or classroom observer.
Students interested in doing their student teaching or classroom observations in a District 401 school are asked to follow the procedures listed below.
To Student Teach in District 401
If you are currently enrolled in a college or university and are interested in student teaching in District 401, please contact Ms. Nancy Lasselle at lassellen@epcusd401.org.
Our Board policy states that all classroom student teachers must complete a background check, a mandated reporter form and a physical. The law states that the physical must be processed within 90 days of placement.
In your email to Ms. Lasselle, please provide the following:
- Request for Student Teaching Placement Form
- Corresponding materials from your college/university
To Observe a District 401 Teacher
If you are currently enrolled in a college or university and are interested in observing a District 401 teacher, please contact Ms. Nancy Lasselle at lassellen@epcusd401.org.
All observation requests must go through Ms. Lasselle. Our Board policy states that all classroom observers must complete a background check.
In your email to Ms. Lasselle, please provide the following:
- Course syllabus with the assignment required
- Timeline for the observation
- Number of hours needed
- Preferred grade level or department
