Bell Schedules


On most school days, Elm Middle School observes a regular bell schedule as listed below. We observe a different bell schedule on assembly days, which may occur several times a year. The assembly schedule is listed below as well.

Please note that beginning in 2019-20 there will be no late-start Wednesdays. Instead, all Elm school days will begin at 7:55 a.m., with morning entrance at 7:45 and first bell at 7:52.


Notice of Change for 2020-21 and Beyond


Starting in August 2020, both Elm and Elmwood Park High School will change from their current block schedules to a traditional seven-period schedule. (See below for details.)

This will give students more options to take electives and career study classes as part of the District's new College and Career Pathways program.

Four of the seven periods will be for core content areas, two for expanded exploratory options and one for a self-study. The self-study is meant to provide an opportunity for students to utilize as a study hall and receive academic and/or social-emotional supports.
