Report Cards
Report cards are issued to Elm Middle School students at the end of each trimester.
Please note that we have transitioned to standards-based report cards for 6th graders. For more information about standards-based grading, please visit our SBG overview page.
All Elm students and parents have logins to PowerSchool. We encourage parents to check grades and assignments on PowerSchool regularly.
Printed progress reports can be made available if a parent does not have access to the technology needed for PowerSchool.
Principal's List and Honor Roll
After each grading period we are delighted to recognize students who have achieved academic excellence. We do so through our Principal’s List and Honor Roll.
The Principal's List is for students who have earned all A's on their latest report card. The Honor Roll is for students who have earned A's and B's exclusively.
Awards Ceremonies
Elm also hosts awards ceremonies after each trimester to recognize all the students who finish on the Principal's List or the Honor Roll. Check our online calendar for ceremony dates.
National Junior Honor Society
Many students who consistently earn a spot on the Principal’s List or Honor Roll may also be eligible for selection to the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS).
The NJHS is open to all 7th and 8th graders who have met five criteria:
- Scholarship
- Leadership
- Service
- Character
- Citizenship
The basic scholarship requirement is a cumulative average of B or better.
