About Elmwood Park High School

Welcome to Elmwood Park High School, home of the Tigers!

Located in the Near West Chicago suburb of Elmwood Park, Ill., EPHS provides a comprehensive public high school education to students in grades 9-12 as part of Elmwood Park Community Unit School District 401. We are the District's only high school.

Opened for classes in 1954, EPHS has an enrollment of 931 students, all of whom must be residents of Elmwood Park.

With a total faculty and staff of 92 employees and an average class size of 22 students, EPHS provides core, honors, Advanced Placement and dual-credit academic programming. We also support instruction for students with IEP, English Learner, 504 and other special needs.

In the most recent edition (2017-18) of the annual Illinois Report Cards, we received a summative designation of Commendable School. In its 2019 rankings, U.S. News again listed us as one of the nation's "Best High Schools."

EPHS is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and by the Illinois State Board of Education.
