► Track & Field | Boys | State Meet Results

Seven members of the boys track & field team competed in the IHSA Class 2A state meet at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. Prelims took place Friday, May 24, and finals in each event were held Saturday, May 25.

Although none of the Tigers advanced out of prelims, the team had plenty to be proud of. The 4x800-meter relay squad of senior Tyler Ocampo, sophomore Kamil Kotarski, senior Khris Vicencio and senior Carlos Sanchez ran the fifth-fastest time in school history and finished 14th in the state. They just missed out on competing in the finals by 1.1 seconds.

Sanchez later came back to finish with a personal best and 21st-place finish in the 800-meter run.

In addition, seniors Julian Rivera and James Coleman competed in the pole vault, and sophomore Jesse Rios competed in the high jump.
