Elmwood Park High School's Daily Bulletin is read over the intercom each school day during lunch. An edited version of the most recent bulletin will be posted on this page the same day the original script is read. In addition, the bulletin is available on PowerSchool daily.

Academic Lab Assemblies | Schedule Changes


This week we will have a few changes to our normally scheduled academic lab assemblies:

  • Monday, Sept. 16 — ALL freshmen should report directly to their academic lab classrooms, NOT the auditorium.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 17 — There is a change! Seniors should report to the auditorium for a cap and gown presentation. 
  • Wednesday, Sept. 18 — We will follow a normal schedule with juniors reporting to the auditorium.
  • Thursday, Sept. 19 — There is a change! Sophomores should report to the auditorium for an assembly. 

► Art Club | Meeting


Art Club is meeting Wednesday, Sept. 18, in the art room from 3 to 4 p.m. Come vote on club officers and make cool stuff!


► Baseball | Meeting


Anyone interested in playing baseball in the spring and not participating in a fall sport needs to meet in the library Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 3:05 p.m. If you are unable to attend, please see Mr. DiGrino or Mr. Nakatsuka.  


► Cheer Team | T-Shirt Sale


The cheer team is selling pink EPHS T-shirts to support breast cancer awareness during the month of October. Today is the final day that the cheer team will be visiting a-lab classes to hand out and collect order forms. The shirts are $15 each and will be delivered to you during a-lab Oct. 2 and 3.


► Chess Team | Meeting Schedule 2019-20


Do you love chess? Whether you are an experienced player or just someone who wants to learn, come CHECK out the chess team. Chess team will meet in Room 113 after school on Tuesdays.


► Cross Country | Boys | Meet Results


On Saturday, Sept. 14, more than 6,000 runners competed in eight races at the First To The Finish Cross Country Invite in Peoria. Junior Kamil Kotarski finished 84th, running the 44th fastest time in school history, covering the three-mile course in 16 minutes and 44 seconds.

Also running lifetime bests were William Bermudez, Vincente Guereca, Omar Gomez, Anthony Wernsing, Connor Brown, Omari Evans, Alex Garcia, Adrian Hernandez and Hector Argueta.

The Running Tigers are back in action on Tuesday here at Elmwood Park. The girls run at 4:30 p.m., and the boys run at 5.


► Culture Club | Meeting


Culture Club is meeting Tuesday, Sept. 17, right after school in Room 223. Stop by for delicious snacks and to learn all about Italy. All are welcome, so bring a friend! See Ms. Heinen with any questions.


► Homecoming | T-Shirt Sales


Student Council is selling homecoming T-shirts, powder puff T-shirts and freshman T-shirts in their class color. Please fill out an order form and order your shirts ASAP! Order forms are in the Main Office and in Rooms 229 and 207. The money is due ASAP!


► Homecoming Dance | Information


With our homecoming dance coming up on Saturday, Sept. 28, shared with you is the Homecoming Dance Request Form. If you are planning on bringing a guest from outside of the building they will need to be approved from their current school before you will be allowed to purchase a ticket for them. Current EPHS students do not have to be approved and a ticket can be purchased next week. Let the Deans' Office know if you have any questions and get ready to have a great time!


► Juniors | PSAT/NMSQT Reservations


Calling all juniors! We are currently reserving seats for juniors to take the PSAT/NMSQT test on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The test is during school hours here at Elmwood Park High School and costs only $17. The PSAT/NMSQT measures what you have learned in high school and what you need to succeed in college or career training. The test also provides excellent practice for the upcoming SAT and can qualify you for a National Merit Scholarship. Please see Ms. Kaminski in the Counseling Office to register, or see your counselor with questions. Do not delay — test seats are limited and filling up fast!


► Powder Puff | Practice


There is powder puff practice today outside on the football field! You MUST be a junior or senior to attend! Please exit through Door 3 today!


► Social Studies Club | Meeting


Do you like to debate and discuss current problems? Then come out to Social Studies Club. We will be meeting Thursday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. in Room 207. Talk to Mr. Ankrom with any questions.

Student Council will meet every Thursday at 7 a.m. in Room 229!
