Re: Superintendent of Schools

The Board of Education is pleased to announce that Dr. Leah C. Gauthier has been selected as the next superintendent of Elmwood Park Community Unit School District 401.

Dr. Gauthier has been employed by our District for the past three years in the position of Director for Curriculum and Instruction.

She has worked closely with Dr. Wade and current administrative cabinet members. This provides the Board of Education and its stakeholders the opportunity to continue our vision to achieve excellence in our District as One Elmwood Park.

Dr. Gauthier earned her doctorate in educational leadership in December 2017. She earned not only a master's in school leadership and administration, but also earned a master's in education curriculum and creative writing. Dr. Gauthier also has a bachelor's degree in major elementary education.

Her educational background along with her experience, work ethic and rapport with staff are great assets for the next leader of our District.

Please join us in welcoming her as our next Superintendent!

Sincerest regards,

Board of Education
