Re: Updated IDPH Guidance

It was announced this past week that the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has released new recommendations for the next three weeks to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Our current Remote  Learning 2.0, technology supports and food services will not be impacted by this new change.

What will be impacted is the number of employees working on school grounds. We are following the recommendations to allow nonessential workers to work from home on a rotational basis.

We are continuing to follow the metrics for what our return to in-person learning will look like and will provide an update on Nov. 20 as we originally planned.

To learn more about the school metrics set forth by IDPH, please visit our COVID Dashboard page on our website:

District 401 COVID-19 Dashboard

The dashboard will be updated weekly as data is updated from IDPH. All information included on the dashboard is pulled from IDPH, the Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) and the Northwestern COVID Dashboard. All of the links for the public data are included on the dashboard. We will continue to share information as well as have everything posted on our Fall Learning Plan page on our website: www.epcusd401.org

Sincerely,

Dr. Leah Gauthier
Superintendent of Schools
