Congratulations to the six students who will be representing Elmwood Park High School and competing for top prizes at the 2022 Illinois High School Art Exhibition (IHSAE) hosted by Art ConnectED.
The students and the categories in which their entries were selected are:
- Avery Ali (12th) | Digital
- Amelia Ennis (12th) | Ceramics
- Kaylene Gohmann (11th) | Painting
- Victoriya Osobska (12th) | Senior Scholarship
- Allison Scheidt (12th) | Photography
- Michelle Soto (12th) | Drawing
All of the EPHS students except Victoriya are competing in the IHSAE's Northern Illinois Regional Exhibition, for which a single work by each student was selected.
Victoriya is competing in the Senior Scholarship Exhibition, for which an entire portfolio of her work was chosen.
The IHSAE brings together the work of the best student artists from 100 Illinois suburban, public and private high schools to celebrate the power of art in their lives.
The students and their work were selected across eight different categories or from submitted
scholarship portfolios.
The in-person exhibition will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 13, at the Bridgeport Art Center, 1200 W. 35th St., Chicago. Virtual exhibitions are already available at the following links:
Awards will be given during an in-person ceremony beginning at 3:30 p.m. The awards will include Best in Show, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Honorable Mention.
