The Early Childhood Center celebrated the birthday of one of America's most beloved children's writers with Dr. Seuss Family Night on Thursday, March 1.

Students, parents and family members filled the ECC for an evening of activities related to some of the writer-illustrator's most popular books:

"Bartholomew and the Oobleck"
► "The Cat in the Hat"
► "Green Eggs and Ham"
► "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish"

Activities were also available for a fifth book, Robert Lopshire's "Put Me in the Zoo," which Dr. Seuss edited for his famous Beginner Books series.

Theodor Seuss Geisel — better known by the pen name that he adopted while still in college — lived from March 2, 1904, to Sept. 24, 1991. Check out the photos below to see how ECC families marked the 114th anniversary of his birth. A big thank you to everyone who turned out!
