The John Mills PTA celebrated a successful first month of school by holding a Family Fun Fair for the entire Trojan community on Sept. 13 — and what a great event it was!
From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. the school gym was packed with families who participated a variety of games and activities, ranging from ping-pong tosses to face painting. Meanwhile, the hallways were filled with students and parents enjoying the concessions and viewing displays from community organizations.
National Honor Society students from Elmwood Park High School helped run some of the games in addition to the many John Mills faculty, staff and PTA members who volunteered their time to make sure the evening was a success.
"There was a line out the front door of parents and students waiting to get into the fair," said Assistant Principal Ms. Alexandra Oreluk. "We are so grateful to have such an amazing community. The turnout was truly an indicator of the Trojan Pride we have at John Mills. We look forward to the PTA's upcoming events throughout the 2019-20 school year!"
