Re: Hybrid Learning Plan
This past week at the School Board Meeting the Hybrid Learning Plan was discussed.
We shared what our plan could look like, safety measures that we would follow as well as following the metrics in our Steps to Return set forth by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) to make the decision on when to return.
At the end of the meeting it was decided that we would move forward with our plan. The Hybrid Learning Plan Discussion is linked on our website under the Fall Learning Plan page:
The next step in our planning is sharing this information with all stakeholders. We will host a live town hall on Tuesday, October 27, at 6 p.m. to share what our Hybrid Learning Plan is and considerations for when we can start our plan based on the metrics from IDPH. Here is the flyer with the live YouTube link:
Anyone unable to attend the town hall can view it after by watching the recording linked on our website and YouTube page. After the town hall there will be a survey for all parents/guardians to complete to determine if they want their child to enroll in hybrid instruction when it is safe to do so or remain fully remote.
We are closely monitoring the community spread of COVID-19 to see when it will be safe to open our doors. This is a difficult time for everyone, and we will stay focused on our priority of health and safety for our students, staff and community at the front of the decisions that are made.
To help us prepare for the eventual return of students please remind your student to wear a mask, wash their hands and practice social distancing. These preventive measures are effective and are closely followed by our staff who are onsite.
To learn more about the school metrics set forth by IDPH, please visit our COVID Dashboard page on our website:
The dashboard will be updated weekly as data is updated from IDPH. All information included on the dashboard is pulled from IDPH, Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) and the Northwestern COVID Dashboard. All of the links for the public data is included on the dashboard.
We will continue to share information as well as have everything posted on our Fall Learning Plan page on our website:
