PROCEDURES FOR HYBRID LEARNING

► All students are required to wear a face mask that covers their nose and mouth while on John Mills school property. Masks are to be worn at all times during the school day.

► Each morning, parents and guardians will receive an email from Crisis Go as a reminder to complete the health certification.

  • All students are required to have their parents or guardians complete the Crisis Go self-certification questions on the online platform through a web browser or the mobile applications available through iPhone and Android in order to enter the building for hybrid learning.

► Students will line up outside their assigned doors, six feet apart (markings are on the cement), and wait their turn to be scanned for their self-certification submission before entering

  • Students can enter John Mills starting at 8:05 a.m. Doors will close at 8:15 a.m. If your student arrives past 8:15, they must enter through Door 1 and receive a tardy pass from the Main Office.
  • Please see the separate document for the specific door your student(s) will use for hybrid learning. All students will enter and exit using the same door.

► Students will be guided to their homerooms by an adult in the building, and teachers will receive their students at the classroom door.

► Students are expected to bring a fully charged Chromebook to school every day.

► Instruction starts at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 10:50 a.m.

  • If your student is not picked up by 11 a.m., he/she will be brought back into the building and a guardian will have to sign him/her out in the Main Office.

► Lunch and break time is designated from 11 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.

► Students are expected to begin asynchronous work (independent) from 12:20 to 2:50 p.m. Each student will have his/her homeroom teacher available for approximately 25 minutes to provide support. Each student's teacher will communicate the specific time he/she will be available during the asynchronous block.

Regardless if a student is in hybrid instruction or remote, he/she will receive 25 minutes of specials, 50 minutes of English language arts, 30 minutes of math, 20 minutes of science and 30 minutes of Trojan Time.

We will continue to share information and have everything posted on our Learning Update Center page on our website.

With Trojan Pride,

Mr. Frank Kuzniewski
Principal
John Mills Elementary School
