Dear John Mills Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to continue the great work that is being done during Remote Learning 2.0.
Instructional times for your student(s) have changed due to District 401 hybrid learning.
Starting Tuesday, Jan. 19, your student(s) will have the following learning schedule:
Remote Students Grades K- 5
- 8:15 to 10:45 a.m. — Asynchronous work
- 10:45 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. — Lunch and break
- 12:20 p.m. — Attendance online and ready for instruction
- 12:25 to 3 p.m. — Live instruction via Google Meets
During the asynchronous work time, homeroom teacher(s) will be available for approximately 25 minutes to provide support. Each teacher will communicate the specific time he/she will be available during the asynchronous block.
Live instruction schedules will be shared with your student(s) by the homeroom teacher.
If you chose remote or did not complete the November 2020 survey but would like your child to be in the hybrid option for the third trimester, there will be another survey sent out in late February.
Regardless if a student is in hybrid instruction or remote instruction, they will receive 25 minutes of specials, 50 minutes for ELA, 30 minutes of math, 20 minutes of science and 30 minutes of Trojan Time.
We will continue to share information and have everything posted on our Learning Update Center page on our website.
With Trojan Pride,
Mr. Frank Kuzniewski
John Mills Elementary School
