Holiday Music in District 401: A Look Back at Our 2021 Winter Concerts

With winter break already here for District 401 schools, it's time to look back at the 2021 winter holiday concert season:

Beginning Dec. 7 and ending Dec. 16, our schools put on concerts ranging from grade-level shows by early elementary students to band and choir performances by high school upperclassmen.

This year’s lineup included changes at the elementary schools as John Mills and Elmwood reduced the number of participating grades and divided their shows into staggered line-ups of smaller concerts. The goal was to reduce audience size and allow for social distancing.

The John Mills concert featured grades K-2 only, and the Elmwood show consisted of grades 1-2 and the school choir only.

Both Elm Middle School and Elmwood Park High School featured their respective bands and choirs as in previous years.
