Elmwood Park High School students didn't waste any time getting down to business on Wednesday, Aug. 16, as the 2017-18 academic year got underway.
Led by an energetic EPHS faculty, the students spent the better part of the day participating in Google circuit training.
They rotated through multiple sessions in which they learned the essentials for navigating through the school's new Google-based instructional technology.
The sessions included training on:
► Gmail and Google Calendar
► G Suite
► Logins and Google Drive
► Google Classroom
Later in the week, faculty members spent their Friday A-Labs teaching a session on cyberbullying and District 401's Acceptable Use Policy.
The circuit training, which Elm Middle School will go through on Monday, Aug. 21, is part of the District's ambitious Technology Initiative, overseen by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Nicolas Wade and Instructional Technology Coordinator Ms. Jessica Iovinelli.
