Elm Middle School students will be spending much of their classroom time this year using Google educational tools to enhance their learning.
That's why they devoted the better part of Monday, Aug. 21, to Google circuit training — to make sure they know how to use tools such as Gmail, Google Drive and the full range of G Suite collaborative apps.
Completing the Circuit
Led by an enthusiastic Elm faculty, the students rotated through multiple sessions in which they learned the essentials for navigating through the school's new Google-based instructional technology.
The sessions included training on:
► Gmail and Google Calendar
► G Suite
► Logins and Google Drive
► Google Classroom
Earlier in the day, students spent their Exploratory time receiving lessons about cyberbullying and District 401's Acceptable Use Policy.
The circuit training, which Elmwood Park High School students completed last week, is part of the District's ambitious Technology Initiative, overseen by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Nicolas Wade and Instructional Technology Coordinator Ms. Jessica Iovinelli.
