FREE AND REDUCED-PRICE MEALS

For the past two years all schools had federal flexibilities during COVID so they could serve meals for free. The federal funding has expired, so we will no longer serve all meals for free. This coming school year we will transition back to pre-pandemic meal programs with paid, free and reduced-price options for students. Families can complete an application to determine if they qualify for free or reduced pricing options for meals. To apply, use this link:

MEAL MENUS

Aramark is District 401’s food services provider. Aramark’s monthly menus for each school can be found here:

Please note that the menus for Aug. 31, 2022, and September 2022 will be posted later this month when they become available.

COMMUNICATIONS

District 401 uses PowerSchool to help parents and students keep track of a variety of important academic information, such as grades, attendance, assignments and class schedules. The parental login page can be found here. Parents new to our PowerSchool system will be provided with access credentials from their home school.

In addition, each school distributes an email newsletter to families on a regular basis:

Our schools also use Twitter to communicate their stories on social media:

District 401’s podcast series is another way to stay informed throughout the school year:

Finally, you can view District 401 videos, including livestreams and recordings of all Board of Education regular meetings, on our YouTube page:

GOOD LUCK IN 2022-23!

We hope these resources and reminders will help you and your child move into the new school year with confidence and success. Welcome to the new school year!
