EPHS College & Career Fair Showcases Diverse Opportunities

The College and Career Fair made a huge impact at EPHS this year! With 20 different colleges, 10 Triton College programs, and 16 career speakers representing a wide range of professional fields, the day was nothing short of eventful.

The College Fair took place in the South Gym while Career presentations were held in various classrooms. During the College Fair, students had the opportunity to explore numerous colleges, trade schools, and military programs, speaking one-on-one with representatives about programs, admissions, and campus life. The Career presentations featured speakers from a variety of fields, including healthcare, engineering, business, the arts, aviation, law enforcement, and more. For the event, juniors and seniors each had a personalized schedule based on their interests. This made the day incredibly efficient, allowing them to utilize their time and maximize the amount of information received.

7 of the 16 career speakers were EPHS alumni, which really tied the experience together. They offered firsthand insight, showing the journey that led them to where they are today. Demonstrating community pride, they returned to share knowledge that students could directly relate to. It was an amazing way for students to truly put themselves in the speakers’ shoes.

The day was filled with opportunities, connections, and an open environment for conversation. Dr. Cynthia Olsen, a Veterinarian speaker, noted, “I really enjoyed my time. The students were all very active in participation and had great questions. I would be honored to come back again!” To make the experience even more engaging, students each received a “passport” to collect stickers from two different speakers as well as three college representatives.

A special thank you goes to Paige Kozyra, EPHS’s College & Career Counselor, who organized this event and helped make it such a meaningful and informative experience. It was a total success and opened a lot of doors for our future graduates.
