Welcome Back, 401 Staff!

After a productive summer, District 401 staff gathered for Institute Days on Aug. 17 and 18 under the theme “Charged for Success.” The two-day event featured presentations, important updates, professional learning, and opportunities to connect with colleagues.

Day one included celebrations of academic achievements, staff service awards, perfect attendance, and 2027 retirees. Staff also received updates on safety, technology, curriculum and instruction, student services, and resources from the West40 ALOP & Truancy team.

Keynote speaker Brian Carter closed the day with “Power Up Your Energy and Your School Year,” a humorous and motivational presentation encouraging staff to begin the year with fresh energy and perspective.

Day two featured additional professional learning, including a presentation from clinical psychologist and educational leader Doug Bolton on “Harnessing the Power of Belonging in Schools.” Staff then participated in training and individual work time to prepare for the year ahead.

Institute Days provided a meaningful opportunity for staff to learn, collaborate, celebrate, and get “Charged for Success” as they prepare for the 2026-27 school year.
