Our seniors are quickly approaching the finish line and will soon be high school graduates! As graduation nears, here’s a look at everything you need to know before the big day.

General Details

  • Location: Elmwood Park High School football field

For Parents & Guests
The west gates will open at 11:30 AM, and the ceremony will begin promptly at noon. Please see below for additional ceremony procedures.

For Graduates
Graduates should be dropped off at the front entrance (Door 1) between 11 and 11:15 AM. Graduates will only be let in if they are in full cap and gown.

Parking
The EPHS west gate (by the football field) is the only entrance for the ceremony. Limited parking is available in the south lot of EPHS with handicap accessible parking available near the stadium entrance. Overflow parking is available along Fullerton Ave and the surrounding streets.

Ceremony
The ceremony will begin promptly at noon and should take approximately 1.5-2 hours.

Departure
After the ceremony, all graduates are to stop by the stadium concession area to pick up their remaining graduation materials. All cars and guests will exit through the east gate near the tennis courts.

Expectations

  • Each graduate received four graduation tickets when they picked up their cap and gown
    • Any person in attendance must provide a ticket to be allowed entry into the graduation ceremony.
  • Graduates who are not in the top 10% will be seated alphabetically on the stadium field for the ceremony
  • Spectators are encouraged to sit in either the east or west bleachers to watch the ceremony
  • Additional seating for handicapped and limited mobility guests will be provided on the track
  • We will livestream the ceremony on our website.
  • We encourage all families to celebrate their graduates, however, please refrain from large balloons, floral bouquets, and any other items that may obstruct the view of other guests
  • All air horns, megaphones, or noisemakers are prohibited from being used

Prior to Our Event
The Elm Middle School 8th Grade Graduation ceremony will be held at EPHS on the same day at 10 AM and will conclude around 11 AM. Students and families will not be able to enter our west gate and park in our south lot until after their ceremony concludes and their families clear the parking lot (approx. 11:30 AM). As a result, parking may become congested. Please allow extra time to get to the ceremony and to get yourself situated.
